Founded in October 2015 by artist Jair Kale in Trinidad, JIVE emerged from a bold vision: to bring geniune Caribbean roots into the global streetwear conversation.

In 2021, JIVE expanded into footwear, taking the brand to new heights.

Since then, JIVE has achieved significant organic milestones, including:

2021: Launched exclusive JIVE LA FOUCADE colorways on the Complex NTWRK app.
2021: Featured in Arc'teryx New York’s #Outerpeace campaign, showcasing our innovative design approach and unique outdoor style.
2022: Collaborated with a Toronto District High School to create handmade skateboards, fostering community, culture and creativity.
2023: Hosted our first retail experience during Miami Carnival, highlighting our Step into Paradise theme of movement and comfort.
2024: Partnered with Nasa Yoso Ten in Osaka, Japan, to introduce our footwear to the Japanese market.

With each step, we continue to push boundaries and share the soul of the Caribbean with the world through JIVE design.

The premier JIVE shoe is named in honour of Dion La Foucade, a soccer coach from Trinidad. At JIVE, our designs commemorate culture – encompassing rich heritage, natural beauty, and colourful diversity. Each flavour of our footwear is thoughtfully inspired by the elements that define the region, from lush plants and tropical fruits to stunning natural resources. The JIVE RJ is a tribute to our late friend Rondel Jagessar, whose unwavering love for classic skate style left a lasting impact. Known for rocking low-cut, timeless skate shoes, we designed this model to honour his personality. The Mangrove colourway pays homage to the hometown roots of JIVE.

The JIVE RJ is crafted for those who value simplicity, style, and longevity.
